Levitra is used for treating erectile dysfunction (ED). It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor. Levitra is a phosphodiesterase inhibitor. Levitra works by helping to increase blood flow into the penis during sexual stimulation. This helps you to achieve and maintain an erection.
Special patient directions come with Verdenafil. Read the directions carefully before using the medicine.
This medicine usually begins to work within 60 minutes after taking it for erectile dysfunction.
The dose of Verdenafil will be different for different patients. Follow your doctor's orders or the directions on the label. The following information includes only the average doses of Verdenafil. If your dose is different, do not change it unless your doctor tells you to do so.
Adults up to 65 years of age — 10 mg as a single dose no more than once a day, 1 hour before sexual activity. If needed, your doctor may change your dose.
Adults 65 years of age and older — 5 milligrams (mg) as a single dose no more than once a day, 1 hour before sexual intercourse. If needed, your doctor may change your dose.
Missed dose of Levitra:
Viagra is used as needed, so you are not likely to be on a dosing schedule.
Storage - To store Levitra:
- Keep out of the reach of children.
- Store away from heat and direct light.
- Do not store in the bathroom, near the kitchen sink, or in other damp places. Heat or moisture may cause the medicine to break down.
- Keep the medicine from freezing. Do not refrigerate.
- Do not keep outdated medicine or medicine no longer needed. Be sure that any discarded medicine is out of the reach of children.
Viagra Side effects:
All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. Check with your doctor if any of these most common side effects persist or become bothersome:
Dizziness; flushing; headache; heartburn; nausea; stuffy or runny nose; upset stomach.
Seek medical attention right away if any of these severe side effects occur: Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); chest pain; fainting; fast, slow, or irregular heartbeat; memory loss; numbness of an arm or leg; prolonged, painful erection; ringing in the ears; seizures; severe back or muscle pain; severe or persistent dizziness; severe or persistent vision changes; sudden decrease or loss of hearing; sudden decrease or loss of vision in one or both eyes; sudden, severe headache or vomiting.
